Julia Riordan is an artist based in Stockholm, Sweden, who discovered her passion for crochet and knitting at the age of 10.

2012 Julia Rio launched her own knitwear label, specializing in unique, colorful beanies. Each piece is designed and knitted on a domestic-brother machine, comprised of a bed of 200 needles, hand-driven and environmentally friendly. Each beanie is finished off the machine by being hand sewn together and labeled.

Julia has always been a big admirer of street-art, and after completing her first yarnbomb in the streets of London 2013 , her creativity seeked out more of this type of expression. Now she paints murals and covers public spaces with yarn.
